Nick Burton

Principal Naval Architect

After growing up in Guernsey and spending a lot of his spare time on or in the water, Nick trained in Naval Architecture and Small Craft Technologies at Newcastle University.

​

Following on from this he worked for 5 years in Superyacht Naval Architecture, designing and building yachts of all sizes. During this time the work ranged from small luxury powerboats, through to the worlds largest superyachts. There were also forays into project work for the Royal Navy and commercial projects.

A move to New Zealand in 2015 led to working more with commercial fishing and ferry fleets, as well as the Royal New Zealand Navy.

​

Having become Chartered with the Royal Institute of Naval Architects (RINA) in 2017, Nick is now based back in Guernsey having run Float Consulting Limited for 4 years.
